Participants watch their pizza bake in the restaurant’s 900-degree wood fire oven and enjoy their handiwork with a glass of wine or a craft beer. At the end of the evening, guests take home Solita & Mastino recipes.
Solita & Mastino pizzas are made with the very best products–both from Italy and the United States. The restaurant uses San Felice “00”, which is the finest stone milled flour in the world from Naples, Italy, the purest unfiltered extra virgin olive oil, Adriatic Sea salt, fresh organic basil, fresh mozzarella, handcrafted meats and toppings, and naturally sweet tomato sauce, made exclusively with authentic San Marzano tomatoes grown in the rich volcanic soil of Mt. Vesuvius.
PIZZA 101 classes are held on an ongoing basis on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 6-8 p.m. at the restaurant, by reservation. To register, visit solitaitalian.com. Classes are $69 per person and include pizza tastings, your very own pizza creation, as well as a glass or wine, a craft beer or a cocktail. Private group classes and corporate team building sessions are available, as well. Starting in the spring of 2016, classes will also be offered at Beauty and the FEAST in Ft. Lauderdale.
I had a great time at Pizza 101! I learned how to properly handle pizza dough, fun facts about pizza, and tips on how to make it myself at home. I like the use of San Marzano tomatoes, which I learned are higher in lycopene. Solita & Mastino uses a 100% wood fired oven using locally souced oak. Sign up today, this class makes for a fantastic date night or girls night out!
Solita & Mastino is located at 25 N.E. 2nd Avenue in Pineapple Grove, Delray Beach, FL
