Nacho Everyday Cauliflower house potato chips stacked high with crispy cauliflower bites, pico de gallo and drizzled with avocado crema

10 points for creativity! What a tasty and unique dish this was. The crispy cauliflower bites reminded me of mini empanadas. With “nacho” in the title, I was expecting corn chips, however the house made potato chips added to the dishes eclectic flare. Try pairing it with a pale ale beer.

Boom Boom Shrimp crispy shrimp drizzled with Thai chili sauce

WFM’s play on a “bang bang” shrimp was the bomb and gave a BOOM to the taste buds. No – not too spicy, but more of a delicious boom. 😉

Noteworthy: this Sauvignon Blanc was delightful, and affordable!

Ancient Grains & Greens – quinoa, farro, asparagus and green garbanzo with kale pesto.

This is something that I would totally make at home. I wouldn’t have thought to use feta cheese but it worked great with the dish! Try pairing it with Sangria:

Main Plates feature Cheese Burger with Black Truffle Fries– an 8oz. beef burger topped with heirloom tomato and lettuce, and served on a brioche bun; and Pasta Amatriciana  – Roman-style with pancetta and red sauce.

Steak Frites – NY strip with with Black Truffle Fries

A solid entree indeed! Served with a Dijon mustard dipping sauce.

New Rachetta Pizzas – which are racket-shaped with a cheese stuffed handle – include Killer Philly Cheese Steak, Chicken Tandoori with Mango Chutney and Margherita.

Chicken Tandoori Pizza with Mango Chutney

The racket shape or, rachetta, is a style of pizza that was inspired by Italy. The handle of the “racket” is stuffed with cheese and the other pizza toppings – YUM! Aside from the shape – let’s not overlook the unique toppings.. I don’t know about you, but I will definitely be back to try the Killer Philly Cheese Steak variation!

Paleo friendly options are available and include Cauliflower, Vegetable and Egg Stir Fried Rice and Sauteed Garlic Zucchini Noodles.

For dessert, shoppers can indulge in sweet treats such as Midnight in Miami– rich chocolate terrine. Other desserts include assorted French Macarons; or a Mini Tart Plate with options of chocolate, crème brûlée, Key lime and mixed berry.

Sage Says: We were super impressed with the creativity that went into all the dishes served at The Watering Hole. Everything was fantastic across the board! This is actually perfect for a shopper like myself who often goes grocery shopping after work. Dinner can become a daunting task in this scenario, but with an in-store restaurant, it becomes easy to grab a bite and then grocery shop all in one place!

Whole Foods Market Davie is open seven days a week from 8AM to 10PM. Telephone: (954) 916-3000. Follow the store on Facebook and Instagram.
