B Square Burgers is a cutting-edge, casual concept bringing creative burgers, fresh salads and much more to South Florida. This innovative culinary hot spot will attract foodies and families alike with its one-of-a-kind take on burgers, bites, a salad bar and unique dishes. The concept was developed by restauranteurs and culinary experts Thomas Febbraio, Marc Katzenberg and Rafael Palomino, all hailing from the New York/Connecticut area. Together, they bring forth more than five decades of combined experience in the industry.
“B Square is bringing something unique and refreshing to Fort Lauderdale’s dining scene. Our vision was to create a menu offering refined dishes from light, health-conscious salads to hearty, gourmet burgers,” said Tommy Febbraio, Co-Founder, Developer, Restaurateur & Principal. “As a team, we share a passion for combining exceptional service with outstanding cuisine, something we carry throughout all our venues and that we are excited to bring to South Florida.”
The 4,100-square-foot space offers both indoor and outdoor seating for approximately 162 guests. Its patio area is complete with a wooden arbor, providing shaded outdoor seating. One of B Square’s main attractions is its bar, which seats up to 28 and serves as the focal point of the restaurant with its chic design and aesthetics. The bar offers a vast selection of micro-brew craft beers, specialty cocktails, made with fresh-squeezed juices, boozy shakes and an extended selection of wines by the glass or bottle. Guests can enjoy weekly specials such as live music, Happy Hour, offered Monday through Friday from 4 to 7 p.m., and a soon-to-come weekend brunch.

Strawberry & Fig Martini
Sweet Potato Tots – Melted-matured cheddar, bourbon bacon bites
YUMO! These babies are so delectable. Don’t worry, there will be greens, too.
(L) Crackling Calamari – Lightly-fried calamari, frisee, radicchio, endive, toasted cashews, diced bananas, orange poppy dressing
(R) Shaved Brussels – Brussel sprouts, mint-cranberry, infused truffle, roasted beet & agave vinaigrette, and a quinoa-kale cake
Both of these green dishes were packed with unique and tasty ingredients.
(L) Tommy’s Meatballs Pomodoro Sauce, pesto, fresh farmer’s ricotta
I loved these turkey meatballs – the texture was moist + the turkey seemed to have a faint smokiness to it. And if there’s pesto, I’ll eat it.
(R) Chicken Las Olas Lightly-breaded breast, arugula & tomato salad, hand-shaved Parmigiano-Reggiano, lemon-yogurt caper sauce
This was another winner of a dish! A mountain of gorgeous greens atop the thinly breaded chicken.
In the mood for lobster everything? Look no further!
Lobster & Truffle Oil Mac & Cheese – American, Asiago, Manchego, sweet corn and panko
I like the combination of classic american cheese with more sophisticated ones like asiago and manchego – the dish offers that creaminess one looks for in a mac & cheese and just a bit of a crisp from the panko.
The Decadent – A foot-long American Kobe dog, sautéed lobster, truffle oil, garlic butter, parmesan fries
So, this dish is a bit of a Frankenstein if you ask me. I was weary about the combination but to my surprise it actually worked! I suppose you just cant go wrong with fine ingredients like kobe beef, lobster and truffle.
(L) Ahi Tuna – Sushi-grade tuna burger, Asian slaw, avocado, wasabi ginger-lime spread
(R) Pan-Seared Salmon – Scottish salmon. mango-miso glaze, coconut rice, bok choy
This unassuming salmon dish was fantastic! The glaze, the coconut rice, the sear – just DELICIOUS!
Phat Boy – Between American & cheddar grilled cheeses, bacon, lettuce & tomato
With a name like B-Square Burgers, you were probably wondering, where are the square burgers? The phat boy is not to be missed, it’s ingeniously placed between grilled cheese sandwiches with beautifully thick cut tomato slices and perfectly cooked meat.
Florida Orange Cake – Made with fresh oranges and freshly squeezed orange juice
The Florida Orange Cake is sourced from a local bakery and is magnificent! It’s like, an adult creamsicle!
(L) Johnnie’s Apple Tart & Vanilla Gelato – Made fresh to order
(R) Boozy Shake –Strawberry Shortcake
Just because B-Square outsources some of their dessert, doesn’t mean they don’t know how to make their own, I learned. Johnnie’s apple tart was delightful and lets just say I had more than 1 of the boozy shake shots.
I’m excited about the wonderful variety and fun dishes that B-Square has brought to Las Olas Blvd. I’ll be back!
