Start off with a flight of wines to whet your palate! Or maybe you are ready to commit to a bottle (don’t worry, you can taste test first) which comes with your very own tableside Rojaus Grapevine Decanter. If you want to take one home, they are available for purchase at the market located inside the restaurant.
Red Flight – Sangiovese · Zinfandel Petite Sirah · Cabernet Sauvignon
My favorite was the earthy Petite Sirah. Another delightful way to start to the meal is with the signature pretzel bread which comes complimentary to the table. Pro tip: ask for the pretzel bread to be used as your burger bun if ordering a hamburger!
Burrata, Golden Beet and Arugula Bruschetta (suggested pairing: bin 66) Whipped Ricotta, Extra Virgin Olive Oil
I like the addition of burrata to a bruschetta and furthermore it was pretty awesome to have whipped ricotta as a base.
Award Winning Asian Pork Belly Tostadas (suggested pairing: bin 94) Scallions, Sesame Seeds, Cilantro, Radish, Sweet Chili BBQ Sauce
The sweet chili BBQ was delicious and the tostada was nice and crunchy. This appetizer will satisfy all of your needs!
Ellie’s Chicken Piccata (suggested pairing: bin 74) Lemon Butter Caper Sauce, Angel Hair Pasta
This was a solid dish, a nice Italian classic that goes great with the Lux Chardonnay.
Lux Pinot Noir & Lux Chardonnay
Gnocchi Bolognese (suggested pairing: Bin 87) with braised short rib San Marzano Tomatoes, Pancetta, Burrata Dolce, Extra Virgin Olive Oil
Check out that burrata cream, pretty drool-worthy right?! This dish was very rich but also tasty. Enjoy it with the Lux Pinot Noir.
Make Your Own Surf & Turf: Parmesan-Crusted Filet Medallions & Crab Cake
Parmesean crusted– say no more, I’m in! You can also get fish with pistachio crust or pork with pretzel crust. YUM.
Onto desserts, which are all made in-house daily… and you can tell once you eat them. They were certainly one of the highlights of my visit to Cooper’s Hawk! Check out these decadent treats:
Reese’s Ice Cream Cookie (suggested pairing : bin 61) Warm Chocolate Chip Cookie Baked with Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups, Vanilla Ice Cream
Just, yum. That is all.
Ooey Gooey Butter Cake (suggested paring: bin 63) Citrus Cream, Balsamic-Glaze Berries
This reminded me of the best part of a pound cake, you know, the top part that is extra moist and sweet.
S’more Budino (suggested paring: bin 61) Caramel Custard, Valrhona Chocolate Mousse, Brown-Butter Toasted Graham Cracker
Holy cow is that a beauty or what?! It tasted as good as it looks. By the way, you can get a flight of dessert wines with your dessert!
Be sure to check out Cooper’s Hawk, the latest addition to the Promenade Shops in Coconut Creek. Don’t forget to save room for dessert!
