New Brunch Menu at BLT Prime at Trump National Doral – Miami, Florida – The SoFla Sage

BLT Prime, the modern American steakhouse that set the standard for Doral dining when it opened in April 2014, has recently changed up its Sunday brunch offerings.

What’s better than brunch? Brunch at BLT Prime at the Trump National Doral, that’s what. BLT Prime’s brunch has spoiled me, every other brunch is now subpar. Brunch in itself is pretty spectacular, with its endless mimosas and glutinous conversation but this took brunchin’ to a whole new level.

Let’s start with their signature flaky, warm popovers the size of footballs. Eating one of these while gawking at the gorgeous panoramic view of the resort’s well-renowned golf course, is just another perfect South Florida day. I wish someone would have told me not to eat more than one popover, one alone will fill you up!

Buffet style brunch allows you to indulge in the savory and sweet cravings, no need to choose from a pesky menu! Choose whatever you desire such as chicken and waffles or from a variety of eggs benedicts that are available. The chicken and waffles feature bite sized pieces of golden fried chicken that are easy to pop in your mouth. Chicken with a slice of waffle drowned in syrup plus a dollop of ice cream is perfection! Eggs benedict is my go-to for brunch and this one exceeded my expectations. The hollandaise sauce makes or breaks an eggs benedict, this sauce was perfectly creamy and flavorful, perfect for the different protein options on the English muffins.

What brunch is complete without dessert? There is literally a table full of desserts like strawberry shortcake, fruit tarts, and assorted chocolates, but some of my personal winners were the chocolate french toast and key lime pie. The french toast is rich, drizzled in even more chocolate, with strawberries piled on top. If you’re a chocolate lover, this one is definitely for you. I’m personally not a huge fan of key lime pie, but something about this masterfully made pie kept drawing my attention. The key lime pie is wonderfully balanced. The tart flavor of the lime combined with the sweet meringue on top creates a refreshing bite that is welcomed after a heavy meal.

If these choices don’t tickle your fancy, don’t worry, there is much more.  More of a meat and cheese person? The grand charcuterie boards will amaze you along with a variety of any carb you are looking for. Rather be closer to the lunch part of brunch than breakfast? The array of fresh seafood, paella and prime rib will satisfy you. The choice is truly up to you.
