Step into a luxurious and sophisticated atmosphere where you can enjoy imaginative and refined homemade Italian fare. Biella is a new restaurant located in Sunny Isles and is situated in a light, airy space that marries a traditional white tablecloth aesthetic with New World elegance. The restaurant is named after a quaint township in the northern Italian region of Piedmont.
Head Chef Jorge Cabrera oversees the kitchen, bringing widespread knowledge of local product combined with a prowess for international cooking to the team. He most recently served as Executive Sous Chef of Seaspice on the Miami River and before that, as Executive Sous Chef of Sugarcane Raw Bar & Grill in Midtown.
Try the Appletini if you’re in the mood for something sweet. The foam offers a burst of flavor!
–> Draft beer and a selection of cocktails are offered at a reduced price during Happy Hour Monday through Friday from 5PM to 7PM!
I loved this creamy smoked salmon soup with avocado. An elegant and delicious start to our meal.
The lobster ravioli with squid ink pasta and lobster bisque sauce is a show stopper for sure. Very rich flavors going on here, an indulgent dish.
For something on the lighter side (but still quite flavorful), try the seared scallops with rainbow carrot salad and red lentil puree.
For the meat lovers, check out this hangar steak with a bone marrow demi glaze on a bed of creme polenta and brussels sprouts. I still remember the flavors from this dish, very tasty.
Biella Ristorante has proved they are not “just another Italian restaurant” as they offer enticing dishes with great flavors. Despite a few textural issues that I came across with the scallops and steak, I would recommend dining here.
Disclosure: I received a complimentary tasting at Biella. All opinions are my own.
