New at Acqualina Resort & Spa
It’s time to check out whats new at the stunning Acqualina Resort & Spa, a luxury 5-Star Miami Beach hotel located in Sunny Isles. I’ve previously blogged about the epic brunch at Il Mulino and services at ESPA Spa. Now, I’m back to try the latest additions including a new dining area and bar – AQ Chop House and AQ Bar.
Cocktails at AQ Bar
Meet AQ Bar, a sultry lounge tucked behind the sweeping mural partition that divides its chic dining counterpart, AQ Chop House by Il Mulino. Designed by talented local firm Saladino Design Studio (widely recognized for their work at Paris 6, Ball & Chain and Beaker & Gray), the dimly lit bar seats 9, as well as 12 in the lounge, where elegantly dressed bartenders await with signature crafted cocktails.
Spicy Passion – Tequila, Cointreau, Passion Fruit, Jalapeño, Basil, Lemon
Dinner at AQ Chophouse by Il Mulino
After some pre-dinner drinks, we sit in the dining room on the other side of the partition for dinner at AQ Chop House by Il Mulino, a modern steakhouse with Italian flavors. Offering prime cuts of meat, seafood, pastas, crudos, and salads, menu highlights include sheep’s milk ricotta with sea salt & extra virgin olive oil, branzino crudo with blood orange & frisée, grilled octopus, short rib ravioli, grilled fish and prime dry-age meats.
Short Rib Ravioli, Sage & Butter
Bone-In Ribeye
Dessert at Il Mulino New York
To finish off the night, we head inside Il Mulino New York fine Italian restaurant for dessert including ricotta cheesecake and tiramisu.
Visiting the Acqualina Resort at night was a different experience compared to my previous day visits. If you are looking for a romantic evening, the Acqualina is great for date night but is also family friendly. For me, I prefer a daytime visit on the terrace with breathtaking ocean views. Either way, it’s worth a visit for the great food and luxurious environment.
Disclosure: I received a complimentary tasting at Acqualina Resort. All opinions are my own.
