As a child, I would attend Young at Art summer camp and frequent the museum throughout the year. Fast forward- I am scrolling though Instagram one day and find out about a 21+ event taking place at Young at Art. I hadnt really even thought about this place for years probably, but I was so glad to hear about an event taking place there for adults! Yelp Broward/Palm Beach’s 1st Burst Day! The event featured all kinds of edible and drinkable goodness, and art – of course. See below for my coverage of the event!
A generous portion of short rib (tasty) with eggplant spinach dish (lacking a bit of flavor):
This watermelon & pork belly salad was one of my favorite tastings from the event – cant wait to dine at 13|Even!
I really dont like to say negative things about food but this was too greasy:
Nice concept but the salad was soggy. Awesome idea to have a side of cannoli cream with a piece of the crust to dip. I actually just bought a Groupon for italio – Ive never eaten there before.. interested to check it out.
This was my first time tasting crawfish, I wasnt really sure how to eat it, so I asked. I was told to just peel it and suck the juices out. I attempted but it was tricky at this type of grab and go food situation. Kinda creepy looking.. like a cockroach lobster. Ill have to try this again some other time.
Fried Mac & Cheese:
AWESOME DISPLAY!!! I love root veggie chips.
…cant go wrong with LOBSTER!
This was surprisingly delicious:
A chicken quesadilla with crushed potato chips & some great sauce action
…prancing & sipping through some of the exhibits…
photo fun ❤
woo hoo! finally crossed paths with HipPOPs! They had a create-your-own style set up, my pop is coconut gelato with dark chocolate dip & crushed pretzels.
Wouldn’t be a Burst Day without a cake 🙂
Hope you enjoyed the pictures as much as I enjoyed this event! {TheSoFlasage}
