A few weeks back, CellarPassTV welcomed The South Florida Sage as a guest blogger for an interactive tasting! Check out the stream here: http://new.livestream.com/CellarPass/Hall-June-04
The featured wine was from Hall/Walt wineries based in Napa, California. I had the pleasure of tasting 3 different wines:
On the right in the above photo – a lovely Chardonnay.
SoFla meets Cali ~ I was stoked to finally be able to use my Florida shaped cutting board from the Brooklyn based Etsy shop; AHeirloom. On the board: Brie, Goat and Smoked Bulgarian Cheese. I admit that I did not actively try to pair the wines with the appropriate cheeses, but here is a resource from my friends over at New Vision Wines that you can use:
Pictured above is the WALT “Blue Jay” Anderson Valley Pinot Noir
In the center of the above photo, my favorite of the 3;
2011 HALL Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Aromas of cassis, black cherry and espresso. On the palate, opulent flavors of dark bing cherry, blackberry and notes of caramel lead to a velvety finish.
Thanks so much to the folks over at Hall/Walt and CellarPassTV!
