Earlier this month The South Florida Sage was invited to experience Sherry Yard’s latest culinary creations that have made their debut at Tanzy’s new menu, while sipping on farm-to-glass cocktails handcrafted by Adam Seger.
Meet Adam R. Seger – Advanced Mixologist and Sommelier, iPic Entertainment
Adam’s mixing style has put him on an international stage, being the first American to present cocktails to The Russian Cocktail Club in Moscow as well as giving along with Master Mixologist Francesco LaFranconi the first ever Mixology Master Class to The International Association of Culinary Professionals. To stay on the international cutting edge, he takes frequent cocktail culture trips to London to brush up on happenings in the world’s most trend-creating cocktail city.
Adam hand crafted us a Raspberry “Mojito” made with Greenbriar gin and a sweet basil-mint-coriander blend from the herb garden at Tanzy.
From appearances on numerous morning shows and the TV Food Network to presenting at the beverage industry’s top conferences, he is widely considered an authority on what is on point and what is soon to be hot. Seger is expanding his line of cocktail bitters and working on his first book in progress ‘Drink Like You Eat: 40 Cocktails from the Garden to the Glass’.
Before sitting down inside for dinner, media guests enjoy appetizers on the patio by the herb garden.
Meats & Cheese Tasting – mozzarella, gorgonzola dolce, Parmesan Reggiano, coppa, prosciutto, salami, maple glazed pecans, fresh berries, fig spread, grilled bread, marinated olives
Beef Carpaccio – mushroom conserva, garden arugula, percorino romano, grilled bread
Grilled Calamari – lemon marinated artichoke hearts, capers, roasted tomatoes
