Chicken Coupe – an event in celebration America’s culinary fascination with fried chicken! The South Beach Wine and Food Festival served up the best bubbly and birds at the W South Beach, led by celebrated Chef Andrew Carmellini from The Dutch. This event is near-and-dear to SOBEWFF’s heart, as it serves as the real-life tale told in Festival Founder & Director Lee Brian Schrager’s second cookbook Fried & True: More Than 50 Recipes For America’s Best Fried Chicken & Sides (Clarkson Potter, May 2014). This walk-around tasting featured a star-studded group of chefs showcasing both classic recipes and unique twists on this mouth-watering dish. A variety of precisely paired champagnes were abundant!
