Yuriy Kouzenkov – Operations Director/Owner & Michael Latimore – Executive Chef/Owner tell us their favorite dishes:

Yuri’s favorite dish on the menu is the Shrimp Fra Diavolo.

Chef Michael’s two favorite dishes are the Penne a la Vodka and Snapper Oregenato

“We are passionate about making people happy through ridiculously good food, and over the top service,” says Kouzenkov. “Opening just six months ago, we never expected to gain such popularity and community attention.”

Burrata creams (truffle and regular), Buffalo Mozzarella, Speck Roll

The mozzarella at Roots is made with the highest grade of Belgioioso curd.

According to wikipedia: “Burrata is a fresh Italian cheese made from mozzarella and cream. The outer shell is solid mozzarella, while the inside contains stracciatella and cream, giving it an unusual, soft texture.”

Just when I thought you life couldn’t get much better, I was introduced to burrata cream. It’s everyone favorite part of burrata anyway, so why not just eat it without the firmer exterior?! You must order it, you MUST!

Organic handcrafted Creamy Yukon Gold Potato Gnocchi

Roots never uses frozen ingredients in the preparation of any of their dishes. Their house made gnocchi are always organic, their chicken is always all-natural. Just the way we like it!

Both variations of the gnocchi were very good. We didn’t mind the larger size of the gnocchi… they were like delicious little pillows.

Pumpkin Cheesecake // Cannoli Cheesecake // Tiramisu

The roasted pumpkin seeds and other delectable garnishes helped seal the deal on this wonderful dessert platter.

Roots is already featuring some organic and natural ingredients. We were glad to hear that Roots plans to incorporate more nutritious dishes and healthier cooking methods into their cuisine going forward.

Open for dinner nightly Tues – Sun (happy hour from 3pm-6pm).

Roots has now expanded their reach by offering a lunch catering service with a minimum of 5 orders, delivered to local area offices and homes.  Chef Mike has perfected a light, tasty and refreshing menu, that will leave you satisfied but never stuffed. Each order is prepared in the morning, just prior to delivery and hand plated with their customers in mind. All of Root’s meats are roasted in-house. Cold and warm selections are available. Sandwiches, wraps, salads, organic fruit and cheeses and assorted platters are available for corporate events and meetings. Warm dishes for corporate lunches, or family lunches and parties.
