Florida Pink Shrimp Cocktail Cocktail Sauce
Crab Croquettes with watercress, “Comeback Sauce”
Oh boy – chock full of crab! I also enjoyed the fact that these were not greasy. Perhaps they were’t deep fried? They seemed like they might have been baked.
GZ Butter Poached Lobster Roll Coleman’s Mustard & Bibb Lettuce
The butter poached roll was off the chain! Lot’s of butter is exactly what I want when I am having lobster. A little difficult to eat as it was bursting at the seems, but maybe that’s a good problem to have with a lobster roll. I like that it came with bibb lettuce, it was a nice refreshing element.
Pomegranate Glazed Short Rib Watercress & Heirloom Carrot Salad, Swank Farms Pickled Vegetables
This thing was massive! I’ve never had short rib served to me on-the-bone before. What a presentation! It could be a bit of a challenge to sort out the meat from the fat but I think it’s worth it just for the presentation alone. Or maybe that’s the food blogger in me talking.
Zakarian Blue Iced Tea
This was an interesting find on the dessert menu. It’s actually a blend of teas with tea ice cubes that are frozen together to fit the glass. Really tasty and unique!
Chocolate Budino Dark Chocolate, Hazelnut Praline, Coco Nibs, Cinnamon Ice Cream
For me, the star of this dish was the cinnamon ice cream. I also enjoyed the texture from the ground up nuts & such. Kind of reminded me of sand – how beachy & fitting!
Caramel & Coffee Tiramisu Caramel Mascarpone Custard, Ladyfingers, La Colombe Espresso
Yum, this was really good and also a fun presentation. The tiramisu is served layered in a glass dish and unveiled from it’s glass case when it arrives at your table.
Point Royal also offers a really solid breakfast buffet, check it out here.
Also, there are plenty of other dining options at The Diplomat Resort, peep them all here.
