Known mostly by locals, Jet Runway Cafe is tucked away at the Ft. Lauderdale Executive Airport but is open to the public for breakfast and lunch.
Here is the view from my table during my visit at lunch time:
Yup, that’s right, lunch includes an exclusive view of the runway!
CRISPY GOAT CHEESE SALAD – blackened shrimp, baby spinach, candied pecans, strawberries and balsamic vinaigrette
CRAB CAKE SALAD – mixed greens, grape tomatoes, carrots, julienne peppers, cucumber and citrus-honey vinaigrette
TURKEY PRETZEL BUN – turkey breast, applewood bacon, cheddar cheese, honey mustard, lettuce, tomato and pickle
MAC-N-CHEESE
I love the fresh salads from Jet Runway! Another stand-by (pun intended) favorite of mine is the turkey pretzel bun sandwich. The pretzel bun has that pretzel-y taste that I look for and it’s actually shaped like a pretzel! The mac-n-cheese is yummy and is made in house with a combination of cheeses. I’ve had breakfast there too, solid options! The only downside is that you’ll walk away from your meal with a bad case of wanderlust.
PS they offer catering options, too!
Jet Runway Cafe is on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
