Burt & Max’s is one of our favorite restaurants at the Delray Marketplace in West Delray Beach, so we were pretty stoked to hear about their summer-long Taco Tuesday specials!
Executive Chef Patrick Broadhead has raised the bar with his a la carte taco creations ranging from $4 to $5 each. Every Tuesday from 5 p.m. to close, guests can enjoy featured taco options.

Mexi Mule
The Burt & Max’s bar team turned the traditional margarita up a notch with a Melon Margarita – Herradura Silver, midori, fresh lime, lemon, orange juice. For a unique tequila twist on a classic cocktail you can opt for the Anejo Old Fashioned – Herradura Añejo, Agave, Orange Bitters or the Mexi Mule – Herradura Silver, Ginger Beer, Fresh Lime Juice, Orange Bitters. Additional drink specials include Corona, Corona Light or Modelo bottles for $5 and buckets for $12.
My favorite drink was the Melon Margarita. I like a heavily salted rim with my margarita, and that’s what I got! Yet, it was refreshing and despite the bright green color, it did NOT taste artificial.
Nachos – ground beef, black beans, Monterrey jack cheese, pico de gallo, sour cream, cilantro
The super melty Monterrey jack cheese and seasoned beef made these SO YUM!
Tostada Salad – grilled chicken, black beans, iceberg, avocado ranch, pico de gallo, onion
I was a little confused at first when this dish came out, because I was expecting a salad. This dish is a bit on the plain side, but it’s actually a great option for those who want to enjoy a healthier spin on Taco Tuesday.
Mexican Street Corn – ‘off’ the cob, chipotle aioli, cotija cheese, cilantro
I love Mexican street corn and this one was super good. It was nice to have it off-the-cob for once, too.
Shrimp Al Pastor – red chili marinade, cabbage slaw, pineapple salsa, cilantro
Wow- these flavors were spectacular. Check out that delicious char on the shrimp and all the fresh ingredients to balance it out.
Chicken Fajita – peppers & onions, cilantro, Monterey jack cheese, guacamole
There’s that wonderful melty cheese again, this taco is a solid choice!
Korean Short Rib – hoisin bbq, kimchi slaw, dynamite sauce, crispy onions
Although not reminiscent of Mexican cuisine at all, this taco was flavorful and delicious!
Sage Says: Don’t miss out on Taco Tuesday at Burt & Max’s – it’s worth it.
