Now Open: Louie Bossi’s Ristorante in Boca Raton – The South Florida Sage

Louie Bossi’s has expanded from its flagship location on Fort Lauderdale’s Las Olas Boulevard to Boca Raton, and opened to the public on Monday, May 1, 2017. We recently got the chance to check out the new location. See our experience below!

Louie Bossi’s is a high volume restaurant with a scratch kitchen, making 12 pastas in house; it cures its own salumi and dry ages steaks in-house. The restaurant features a full menu of handcrafted cocktails, including Italian classics, Negroni, Sgroppino Alla Pera, Bicicletta, and Rosso Toscano.

(L) OLD FASHIONED
louie bossi’s own bourbon, simple
syrup, house-made orange and angostura bitters

I found the Old Fashioned to be a bit heavy on the syrup for my liking.. but it did have all the elements that I enjoy including those luxardo cherries.

The mixologist for Louie Bossi’s is Ervin Machado. He is a level 2 sommelier with a deep knowledge of Italian cocktails and liquors.  Machado speaks five languages and recently returned from Italy.

(L) MOZZARELLA TASTING – FIOR DI LATTE, BURRATA, MOZZARELLA DI BUFALA
with pomodorini, basil, estate olive oil (R) PROSCIUTTO & SALUMI TASTING

Pro Tip: you must order charcuterie when visiting Louie Bossi’s!

GRANDE ASSORTIMENTO APERITIVO – GARLIC BREAD CLASSICO, SICILIAN OLIVES & PROVOLONE, ARANCINI CON TARTUFO, MARCONA ALMONDS

This tower of delight is a great option for large parties. So many Italian goodies to munch on!

(L) SPAGHETTI carbonara, with shrimp, house cured pancetta, eggs, parmigiano reggiano (R) SPAGHETTI – san marzano sauce, fresh basil

SPECIALE DEL GIORNO – MONDAY – eggplant alla parmigiana

I really liked the crispier texture that this eggplant parmesan had! Makes you forget that you’re eating eggplant – which could be a good thing for the eggplant haters!

Tiramisu, Cannoli, Nonna’s Cheesecake, Gelati and more!

What a show stopper! Just like the pasta and charcuterie, the desserts are also made in house. It’s one of the few restaurants with an in-house artisan bakery program and an in-house charcuterie program.  The restaurant also brews its own beer and makes its own limmoncello!

Be sure to visit so that you can enjoy the 8,000 square feet of indoor seating, 2,000 square foot patio, bocce ball court, a hand carved oak gas burning fireplace with the largest wood mantel in South Florida, and the world’s only Vespa with two sidecars, circa 1956.
