The obstructing columns on the exterior patio were removed to open up the outside — without interrupting the space — to deliver full views of the beach, ocean and the Deerfield pier, so it is like going to the beach and enjoying it without getting your feet dirty. Returning guests as well as new diners are wowed by the new openness and beauty of the views devoid of any column obstruction and complemented well by new furnishings, artwork and new menu selections.

“While guests experience a new twist ‘served up’ in both décor and menu, we’ve worked hard to retain the welcoming, comfortable social vibe and feel for which Oceans 234 has long been known,” noted Oceans 234 sole owner/operator Danielle Rosse who directed the re-design of the 6,000-square-foot, 220-seat restaurant.

Chef Victor Franco spent the last year creating and testing new menu offerings that befits the #NEW234. With the grand re-opening Franco presents menus featuring a number of guest favorites along with 75% new appetizers, entrees, side selections, bar bites, desserts and Sunday brunch fare who has also created a separate and extensive Gluten-free menu. Also awaiting guests is a roster of new signature cocktails and stalwart commitment to Oceans 234’s new wine program featuring 102+ brands to well-position the restaurant for a Wine Spectator Award. A new wine wall featuring 400 bottles is on full-view adjacent to the bar and reception area seating.

Oceans 234
Tuna Stack – diced tuna, avocado, fresh lemon juice, evoo, crispy fried plantain

This dish is so pretty and the crispy fried plantains accompanying the tuna stack are a great way to make this the perfect South Florida appetizer.

Perfect pairing: Moet Ice Mojito

Moet Ice is a fragrant Ice Wine (produced from grapes that have been frozen while still on the vine)

Oceans 234
Lobster potato skins – creamy spinach, bacon, Vermont white cheddar, truffle salt

I love the idea of these, an oceanic take on the ultimate crowd pleaser. These babies are chock full of both cheese and lobster and finished with divine truffle salt.

Perfect pairing: Sancerre Sauvignon Blanc

P.S. I fell in love with this wine

Oceans 234
Blackened Snapper Rueben – purple cabbage, marble rye, swiss, thousand island

A colorful spin on a classic! This dish is definitely a go-to item, perfect for lunch or dinner.

Perfect pairing: Blackberry Smash

Oceans 234
Surf and Turf Sushi Roll – filet mignon, soft shell crab tempura, cucumber, cilantro, sesame seeds

No more excuses that sushi doesn’t fill you up, guys.

Perfect pairing: Sake, TY-KU

Oceans 234
Grilled Skirt Steak- Plantain mash, roasted corn with asparagus, toasted garlic and lime reduction

The grilled skirt steak is definitely one of my favorite dishes at the new Oceans 234! Each component has its own delicious flavors that come together so nicely. I personally enjoy the fact that the plantain mash is sweet like maduros versus savory like in a mofongo dish. That juicy steak, roasted corn, sweet plantains and lime reduction…YES PLEASE!

Perfect pairing: Summer Old Fashioned With a nice flavor coming though from the cherry liqueur

Oceans 234
Nutella French Toast – Nutella & peanut butter spread

Served with home made Knobb Creek infused maple syrup and just a hint of cayenne pepper to balance out the sweetness. You must try this french toast which is offered on Sundays during brunch from 10 – 2.

Perfect pairing: Mocktail because well, its not 5 oclock and maybe you have things to do.
