Located on the increasingly popular Atlantic Avenue in Delray Beach, Deck 84 casual waterfront restaurant is enjoyed by both locals and visitors alike. Unfortunately, not all restaurants on the water have good food. The view will bring in the visitors, especially if they haven’t done their homework. That is why Deck 84 has earned a valuable place within the South Florida dining scene.

Jon Greening – Executive Chef at Deck 84, uses fresh seasonal ingredients and his appreciation of tropical flavors to create a classic waterfront dining menu featuring innovative American dining options and traditional favorites. Chef Greening uses fish, meat and produce sourced fresh daily to create a variety of crowd-pleasing dishes with Asian, Caribbean and American bistro influences. His culinary philosophy relies on the basics, emphasizing dishes prepared with the freshest ingredients to consistently offer the best flavors.
TUNA TARTARE – sweet soy, avocado, cucumber, wakame, wonton, dynamite, wasabi tobiko
A beautiful plate, I appreciate Deck 84’s variance – a nice personal touch with the wakame seaweed. The wonton crisps were notably good.
JUMBO LUMP CRAB CAKE – chipotle remoulade, avocado corn salsa, microgreens
Delectable, large pieces of crab and pretty painted remoulade – yes please!

Did you know? Recently named one of Opentable’s top 100 al fresco dining restaurants in America, Deck 84 has been a local and tourist favorite in Delray Beach since opening in 2010.
MOZZARELLA SALAD – local tomato and microgreens, balsamic reduction
Deck 84 sources their mozzarella from Mozzarita – a local purveyor. Tonight, the restaurant has prepared homemade mozzarella with microgreens from Boynton Beach and tomatoes from Lantana, Chef Jon explained.
HOUSE-MADE VEGGIE BURGER – avocado, alfalfa sprout, pesto mayo, whole wheat bun
The burger itself consists of wild & brown rice, quinoa, oats, egg whites, beets, prunes, cilantro, parsley and jalapeño. I found it to be very tasty but I was surprised to find out the burger was mostly grains, I would have liked to see some beans in the mix. Not a low carb dish – plus you have the bun!
ON SPECIAL – Caribbean inspired corvina with coconut sauce, braised greens and poached tomatoes in olive oil.
What is better than a enjoying a dish highlighting Floribbean culture while seated by the water?!
SLOW-BRAISED BEEF SHORT RIB – roasted mirepoux, braised beet, maytag blue mash, cabernet demi glace.
This is a really nicely composed dish. I loved the rich taste of the demi glace and the blue cheese mashed potatoes, they work so nicely with the beef and root vegetables.
So, if you are looking for an a fun spot on the water to enjoy locally sourced food – this is it!
