New Food & Cocktails at SuViche Las Olas of Ft. Lauderdale, Wynwood – The SoFla Sage

We are back at one of our favorite fusion restaurants to check out the annual features menu and all-new bar program!  Our first visit to SuViche was shorty after it’s location debut on Las Olas Blvd in October of 2015. This time, we enjoy a four course pairing dinner highlighting the restaurants Peruvian-Japanese style.

The revamped beverage offerings include more than 15 new craft cocktails and shots which are available at both the SuViche Pisco Bar in Wynwood and Ft. Lauderdale.

SuViche’s 2017 Features Menu, includes six specialty dishes that are available for lunch and dinner at all locations!

First up, Jasmine Vine with house-infused jasmine vodka, yuzu and agave paired with Chupe de Camaron, a Peruvian soup made with shrimp and potatoes.

I love the scent of jasmine, so it was pretty awesome to find a house-infused jasmine vodka on the menu. As for Yuzu (Japanese citrus), I am definitely a fan of this flavor.

The El Santo with mezcal, pineapple, raspberry and habenero was paired with the Camote Roll, made with torched sweet potato, fresh tuna, cucumber and SuViche sauce to finish it off. I looooved having a torched sweet potato on the sushi roll, I am c’mon how unique is that??! The El Santo had the perfect balance of spicy and refreshing.

For our third course – the Prenup, made with coconut macerado pisco, mango, cilantro and OP Rum, topped with a lime peel, torched and served with a flame – certainly a show stopper. Pair it with the Butcher’s Roll, which features juicy steak with a touch of garlic cream cheese and topped off with SuViche’s famous lomo sauce. Another unique and tasty roll, bravo! Haters, you can’t use the excuse that “sushi doesn’t fill you up” with this roll!

Lastly, the Causa Saltado which features crispy panko breaded causa with choice of chicken, shrimp or steak saltado. I highly recommend the steak – the flavor was AMAZING and the texture was perfect. Pair it with the Carajillo which includes reposado tequila, Licor 43, coffee and agave.

Yup, this one is for us coffee lovers. It would also make a nice dessert drink.

We were impressed with the 2017 annual features menu AND the new cocktails at SuViche. Stop by to check out the new items or enjoy classics such as their signature ceviche dishes and pisco cocktails.
