Henry’s Sandwich Station, the newest JEY Hospitality Group concept, recently opened in one of my favorite parts of Ft. Lauderdale; FATVillage Art’s and Entertainment District (FAT = Flagler Arts and Technology). The area is home to Ft. Lauderdale’s Art Walk and other fun places such as Brew Urban Cafe inside C&I Studios, which is actually right next door. The name Henry’s is inspired by Henry Flagler who is responsible for the Florida East Coast Railway (which runs directly behind the property). Also behind the restaurant building you’ll find graffiti style murals for the perfect photo-opp. Now, let’s talk about the food.

Tomato Bisque with Grilled Bread

Have a cup of delicious creamy tomato bisque drizzled with basil infused olive oil to get you started.

Crispy Chicken Sandwich –  southern fried chicken breast, sweet & spicy pickles, mike’s hot honey, shaved lettuce, duke’s mayo, brioche bun.

Sink your teeth into this juicy chicken sandwich with a JEY Group fave condiment – Mike’s Hot Honey, which you’ll also find drizzled on Pizza at PizzaCraft in downtown Himmarshee.

Garlic Pesto Fries with Truffle Aioli

From the “French Fry Bar” section of the menu: these fantastic thick-cut fries with plenty of flavorful of pesto. Pro-tip: dip them in the tomato soup. For my next visit, I have my eyes on the Henry’s Poutine Fries with Brisket, Cheese Curds, and Brown Gravy.

Smoked Meat Sandwich – cured smoked brisket, spicy brown mustard, Zak the Baker rye bread.

It sounds simple, but it’s anything but on your taste buds. Delectable brisket, with a hefty slathering of mustard on South Florida’s favorite ZTB bread.

Wash it all down with a Joe Iced Tea!

Last but most likely not least: homemade PIES! Henry’s was sold out of pies during my dinner visit, but they look amazing and I must get my hands on a slice of the blueberry pie. Secure yours by pre-ordering with the form on their website.

Next up for JEY Hospitality Group: an indoor & outdoor event space concept in Ft. Lauderdales up-and-coming MASS music & arts district, located just down the road from FATVillage.
